    For the average golfer do you guys think the 917 will be a huge jump over the 915?

    It is really hard to say until you test the club and the set up at a demo day. Will need to try different shafts to see which one will work best with the new head and give you the most distance and accuracy. Be sure and take you current driver with you when you go to a Titleist fitting day for a fair comparison.

    From a distance standpoint it's a few yards, but they do have the new recoil face and channel in there along with a greyish club crown. The stock shaft options like always are premium high quality. The biggest difference is definitely with the sure fit as it will be easier to fine tune the club compared to the 915

    I have the 915 and I'm definitely going to check out the 917s. Can't hurt... But the biggest thing is making sure you get fitted properly. I honestly feel trying different shafts is a big key...

    And I agree with Chuck. Bring your old driver. I've done that a few times and compared the numbers. Definitely interesting to do.

    Yes! I have been fitted for the 917 and I gained on average 14 yards farther!

    Colby, the answer is, Yes! It's bound to gain in yardage that we all want. It also includes important things/characteristics like reduced or even lower ball spin, fast trajectory and descend, sound, and technology... it also yields closer/tighter dispersion. All of it are in the 917 #FAST

    I gained 20 yards from a fitting - I was going the wrong way with the shaft in a 913. Can't beat a fitter that can dial the 917 into you. But as important, mishits only lost a little distance. Huge change in forgiveness from my 913.
