  1. I would like to move to the 716 CB irons, I currently have Burner2's in the bag. I'm a 12 handicap, and would say I am very comfortable with my long iron game from 100 out. My short game, leaves lots to be desired but I'm improving very well on it. My question would be would the CB irons be a good move up? I currently golf around 54-72 holes a week. Any input would be appreciated. Brad

Hey Brad! It sounds like you are working hard to develop your game! Congratulations and well done!

If you are enjoying the feel and playability of the CB irons, and you are going to continue working on your game -- then my counsel would be go for it. Go set up a fitting with a certified Titleist fitter, preferably one with access to a launch monitor like Track Man or Flight Scope and with the various shafts for you to test.

You will get yourself a set of irons that you like and can feel confident in moving your game forward! All the best Brad and would love to hear how you make out in your "journey"!

Moving up to CB... Wow, that in itself sounds exciting. I remember when I was in that stage prior to transition. Man, I literally thunk about it day and night. The thin top lines and hot it's constructed... it's a beautiful club.
Anyway, like Dino said, go get fitted for it properly and tell us all about it along your way to better golf.

    Good luck!
  4. So ,I did move into the cb's for the 2018 golf season..I did sneak a step in there though. I bought an ap2 set hit them for the 2017 season. I absolutely love the CB irons. The feedback from them is great. Now yesterday I had a complete fitting for the new TS driver, I see more money leaving my bank account very soon.

I game the 716 cb and I find them to be very forgiving for the size they are, plus better through the turf than the AP2. I think they are one of the most underrated irons that have been made because they get overshadowed by the AP2. If Titleist would grind the leading edge of the AP2 like the CB, they would be amazing. Don't be scared of the CB, they offer plenty of help. Just don't expect the same distance as the Burners as they are more traditionally lofted.
