2008 ap1's vs 716 ap1's

    just got my new set of custom fit 716 ap1's, whats the best way to transition from my 2008 ap1's. the lofts are 3-4 degrees less per club. playing glen oaks saturday - robert trent jones course in amherst, ny. nice weather still upstate new york in november !

    Normally I would say hit the range and compare the distances side-by-side, but since it seems like you don't have much time to do that, then just wing it (adjust club selection on the fly as necessary).

    Go to the range and hit a bucket. Write down what each club does.

    716 AP1's are stronger across the board.
    1° stronger (3 - 6)
    2° stronger (7 - P)
    3° stronger (G)

    I agree with Dave, hit the range and just take notes for now being you're short on time. Once you get back home get in some serious range time then go play. Just pick the club you would normally hit or one club less and learn from experience.
