Hi Guys, really interested to see what shafts people have went for in their 917s or have players stuck with the standard options ? I've went with Mamiya ATTAS 6S 4U in my 16.5 F2 & Mamiys ATTAS G7 6S in my D3 10.5 I just love the feel and the flight of these shaft although the standard Rogue MAX felt nice also ! Great work TT.

As with my 915s, I use Graphite Design DI-6 shafts in both the fairways and the driver.

I went with the speeder pro 64 TS in the driver and speeder pro 74 TS in my fairway good feel with correct numbers for me

Love the Fuji's! Echoing what Chuck Z said as well, we are really lucky that Titleist loves us enough to give us "real deal" shafts as stock options. The Fujikura Pro TS sticks are awesome. I just recently renewed my love affair with Fujikura myself. I'm still in the 915's (heck I gamed a 909 D and F forever) and don't switch as often as some) but the 661x and 757x are solidly in my bag now. Echoing what we all hear, working with a pro (or several...) and getting fit in one way or another to optimize launch condition and feel (which is Über important for me) is the #1. Wether through custom shafting, tipping, soft stepping, etc. none of my sticks are stock anymore. This may not be needed for everyone but for me the numbers were simple math. The confidence of knowing there are no question marks in your quiver is irreplaceable.

I got my 917 D2 with the Aldila Rogue Black 70 X flex and the Diamana 80 X for my f2

I stayed with the standard Aldila Black Rogue MAX stiff 75 with the 917f3. Great combination and works well for me. Titleist has provided some great standard shafts and working with a fitter will save you some money.

I had such an epiphany testing some different shafts from the 'library' and found that the Graphite Designs Tour AD BB-5 gave me at least 8 yards more carry. It provided a much higher trajectory with the same shaft setting, yet when I had other shafts and tried them at higher loft settings, I did not find any difference in carry distance. My launch specs aren't too unusual - 93 mph club speed with good launch and spin numbers using a UST ProForce Gold 55 Stiff flex.
