Ok first fir most sorry for the long post. AND I'm extremely pleased with the service of my club...
First and for most this is not meant be negative any way, shape or form. I'm very thankful for the work Titleist did. I'm extremely happy with it!
So, I had a problem with my 915H 24*. For some reason when the head was installed, and I tightened it to it clicked in place, the head had a very tiny bit of play in it. What I mean is that when you'd waggle the club, or take it back in the backswing it'd have a just a tiny bit of clicking of the head and shaft not fitting perfectly in the adapter, and it'd wobble just a bit in the head (the female adapter in the head, and male part of the shaft adapter did not have a complete seal, and was a bit loose).
So with a response from Titleist concierge I went to a Titleist dealer and they sent it in, and it came back but the problem still persist (whatever, no big deal). Went back to the Titleist dealer and they called Titleist again and they apologized up and down about the problem not being fixed originally and i send it back in, and they'd replace it with a new head. Honestly I wasn't expecting this at all, and was it awesome surprise to hear. I figured they'd just replace the head and shaft adapter, and I would've been absolutely fine with with it. But they said they'd send a new head out replace it when the old one was sent in (awesome!).
I definitely take care of my clubs. Headcovers on every wood/hybrid head unless it's being used for that shot. The head was 99.9% pristine, topline and everything was prestine (zero pop ups on crown as well as upper leading edge, only the sweet spot and sole showed and wear).
Today I received the head back (only sent the head) and it had the plastic wrap on the head, 915 sticker on the face, basically an absolutely new head. But I noticed the serial number was the original serial number that I had in my profile when I registered it.
Ok.....So when a club is sent in for a replacement, is it sometimes refinished, fixed and sent back out? The clicking in the adapter is completely gone as far I can tell. The only reason I think it was refinished was cuz I remember writing down the serial number twice for the two times I sent it in. Also the serial number matches the the number I registered through this site.
Again, even if that's the case I'm completely fine with it. I don't know about you, but I grow a custom to my clubs, so getting the same, exact club back definitely gives that "ahhhh, my favorite club is back" feeling. So just curious.
Also I love that Titleist customer service stands behind their product, and it's second to none, and that's why my driver through gap wedge is all Titleist!!
Thanks for your input!!
