I upgraded an 18 degree 915 to a 917. At the end of the fitting, I gained 15 yards and it was easier to hit. If it had been less than 5 yards I would have kept the 915. Interestingly enough, the fitter found the 3W length worked better for me than the standard length. It did hurt a little that his experience with the length was based on success he had with his own dad. Worth trying it and finding the shaft and weight matched to your swing.

Just ordered the 917 F2 to replace my 915 F. Big reason is the shaft, I have the Fujikura in my 917 and 816 H2. Titleist clubs are addictive, glad I found a support group!

I replaced my 915f 15deg with the 917F2 16.5 deg, much easier to elevate off the turf. I love the 917 fairway woods, great look and performance.
