Can you get a set of 716Ap2's refinished in black oxide? How cool would that be?

    IKe,

Check out the Club Fix in Irvine California. I do not know the cost but they can create many types of club finishes. Check them out here.

There is a place in Colorado called The Putter Lounge that will also perform this task. I actually had a Scotty Del Mar done in Black Oxide and it's amazing. Not only does it look beautiful but there is no sun glare off the top line. Gorgeous and functional!

Hmm....that stinks, I wrote and posted a long post to this thread but it never showed up. That's a bit depressing cuz it was a good post that took awhile to write lol.

I'll suggest checking out Tiger Nick Golf for refinish (I'm not affilated with them at all). But they do offer a black chrome which is more durable than black ox. Its not as drk black as a black oxide but is more durable. I'd just try googleing it.

What ever you do PLEASE POST PICS!! I love my AP2 716 and would love to see some pics of what you got done.

rymail00 thanks for info best site yet! Saw the 714's, sick!!! I'm wondering how the tungsten will interact. So I'm gonna go slow. But if it happens I will post many, many photos. Cheers!

Did you stop to think if you have them refinished you might void the warranty on the clubs? I would call customer service before I did any altering to those beautiful clubs by anyone other than Titleist. With respect and word to the wise.

Thanks for your concern. Titleist does not do refinish work according to a separate thread. As far as warranty, seriously, nothing is ever really covered on an item that you are striking the ground with repeatedly, so.... I appreciate the kind thoughts. They are beauties, black is sexy! Check out the Apex Black. Don't want to go to dark side, performance very similar.

Yeah it's not like driver heads that can cave over time from very high swing speeds. Basically the only way to break an iron is head is by an unkowledgeable club builder adjustng lie angles

As far as the tungsten and rechrome, idk? I'll have to look at the 714 pics again. I know the tungsten is visible on the 714's stock but it's definitely hid on the 716's.

    Regardless def keep u updated.

I messaged that guy about a refinishing my wedges and it seems a regular satin chrome is available (guessing high polish chrome too?), not just the black gloss/satin chrome. I'm hoping to send my wedges in the next few weeks and will update how it goes if your interested.

Regardless who you go with definitely interested in who did the refinish, and pics.

Tiger Nick seems like the way to go. I may not do my ap2's. But I have a set of mp32's that could see a new life in black. Not a set to be traded, but my son is into my 716's so I might ease him in with 714's right price and het my 32s back for fun. Post your wedges, I'd love to see the look. Thanks for the update

The black finishes are cool but I'd be scared about the wear patterns over time. I did find out chrome and satin chrom is available as well which would wear better over time. Now i'm stuck thinking wedge set refinish or 917 F3 for next purchase. I think I can get through a another seaon wit my wedges so going with 917 F3.

But once again, definitely interested in any refinish pics you get!!
