  1. Thinking about upgrading my fairway wood. Either a 915F or less likely a 917F2. I am curious about the shaft options. For driver, I currently have the 915D2, with the MITSUBISHI DIAMANA D+ WHITE 70 stiff shaft, which I actually got fitted for. For Hybrid, I currently have the 915H with the Aldila Rogue Black 85H stiff shaft.

I am leaning towards the 915F. Which shaft would be ideal for me? Typical swing is about 95-105 mph, while I hit the 3 wood off the tee about about 230-250. I would lean towards the MITSUBISHI DIAMANA D+ WHITE 80 because that's similar to the Driver shaft I was fitted for. Thoughts?

What if I go with the 917F2? MITSUBISHI DIAMANA LTD. WHITE 80, FUJIKURA SPEEDER PRO TS 84, or ALDILA ROGUE MAX 75? I would prefer not to go through the process of getting fitted again. Just looking for thoughts and opinions?

I can only recommend a fitting. The shaft I played in my 910 wasn't the best one in the 915 and neither was optimal for me in the 917. As the clubhead changes, so will the best shaft for you.

I was fitted by a Titlest fitter and the results are awesome. My 917 is the real deal with the correct shaft. You really need to be fitted for a new shaft.
  4. When did you get fitted? If you really don't want to go through the process again (not recommended, it's what we do!) the Aldila Rouge Black shaft would be what we would put you in. It's standard to keep the shafts in your woods the same.

You should get fit for it. Having tried both the Diamana 80 and the Fujikura ProTS 84, my personal preference is the Fujikura, but I would let the numbers do the talking at that point.

Best option is to have yourself fitted by the club pro or go to dicks sporting goods. Each shaft is different in weight and trajectory. You always want to make sure you get the right club head for best performance!

Best bet, get fit for the correct shaft. I would think that finding a new 915F with the correct shaft for you might be a bit of a challenge....not sure you can still order through Titleist.
  8. If you go with the 915f I would go with the same as your driver. Similar feel then!
