So I was lucky enough to acquire a C16 head and I'm excited!! My question is this...

1.) Without the Counterbalanced shaft will my swing weight be dramatically out of wack?

I typically play my driver 44.75' gripped so the leaves 3/4 inch whiggle room.

2.) Are additional weights available through authorized dealers?

Thanks Team! Dave Grisafo Cleveland, Ohio

Also, are the C16 weights the same as 917? If not can they be purchased individually via a authorized retailer. Thanks!
  3. Yes, you need a counterbalanced shaft. However you can adjust length to help offset this somewhat as you suggested. Longer shaft makes swingweight go up and shorter down...however distance can be affected so proceed with caution.

    Good Luck!

I'd like to know about that as well. I have the C16, and not sure if my fitter didn't think I needed the surefit grip and maybe I don't, but curious to know.

But, to answer your question, I do have the C16 have hit it with many shafts, none of which have the surefit and I love the driver. It's clearly not necessary but I'm still curious if there is a benefit to it.

It will depend on what you think is out of whack. When I had my C16 made, I did not have any weight put in the shaft. It worked out to about D5 with the weight and shaft I use. So, you don't need it and in fact you couldn't replace it even if you did as the grip is no longer available.

Yes, you can order weight sets from any authorized retailer.

Thanks for the comments that helps. I will cut it down until I land in the D3 range which is perfect for me.
