Anyone switch from 712u (prefably 2iron) to the 716 t-mb? I'm curious as to what is the difference between the two. I haven't had a chance to do a fitting but just curious particularly about ball flight with the new 716 vs the 712u.

Personally I find the 716 has a more penetrating ball flight and is easier to hit and still have the ability to work the ball.

    I have owned the 712u 3iron and I currently have a 716 T-MB 3iron.

Ball flight is higher on the T-MB and more forgiving on toe and heel strikes.

The feel is different the hollow head takes away from the feel that I am used to with my 716 CB but the flight and shot making possibilities are awesome.

    Hope this helps

Thanks!! Great info just what I was looking for! I was hoping I would get a chance to hit the T-mb and compare numbers versus my 712u but based off of your comments as well as others I think I will go ahead and pull the trigger and make the purchase!

    Grindelwald,

to me, the 716 was a bit easier to hit and has a better sound. Also I think to have picked up a few yards
