I currently have a 905R driver 9.5 degree with the Adilia NV 65 Stiff shaft, but I am having problems (even with the dry conditions we are experiencing in the Southeast currently) of my ball not getting any roll. I have a very high ball flight naturally which is something I do not want to change except on my driver. I have been trying the 909D3 out for some time now but no one around here carries anything with a X-flex shaft which is what I am thinking about going to. I have a tour series Fujikura shaft x-flex in my 3 wood and I love it which is my 2ND reason for the possible shaft change. Any tips or concerns about this decision. If I go to the stiffer shaft do I need to lower my degree on my driver still? I have been thinking about going to an 8.5 or lower with the new shaft, which is the other problem. I can not find anywhere that says that the D3 comes in anything lower then an 8.5 degree. Please Help ! Thanks !

    Specs:

    Clubhead Speed:118 MPH

    Handicap: 1.37

    Average Driver Carry: 298 yds

    5 iron: 205 yds

    Any information is greatly appreciated

  2. Hi Bradley -

It sounds like you will benefit the most by visiting one of our Advanced Titleist Fitting Partners in that region.  If you could please let me know what zip code or city is nearest you, I will see which Titleist partner would be suited to help with your needs.

The numbers you have provided do not really help us determine what loft and shaft is a good combination for you.  The more important figures in determining loft, head and shaft are:

    Ball speed

    Launch angle

    Spin rate

Look forward to hearing back from you!
