Hi y'all, I just joined team titleist this week with my irons(ordered the new ap2 716's) yesterday. I've been a cally guy for the past 10yrs. Have played the apex pro forged the last 3yrs. I went and got fitted and figured I'd stay with cally and get the new apex pro's.... well, after hitting them for about 30min, I did not like them at all! The new cf16's are nice and go forever but they are a little to hot for me and the lower spin will be troublesome. So, I started hitting the new miz jpx 990 tour and really liked them. Then I picked up the new ap2's and they felt great, similar to the jpx but the turning point for me was the ap2's felt softer and even with a toe or heel hit they still felt really good unlike the 990's; toe and heel shots no forgivenesses at all. So I sat on it for a night and ended up ordering me some ap2's with the Nippon pro modus 3 tour 120 steel. the project x LZ 5.5 were nice shafts as well but went with the Nippon instead. Excited to get them in a week and start playing.
