  1. Hi y'all, I just joined team titleist this week with my irons(ordered the new ap2 716's) yesterday. I've been a cally guy for the past 10yrs. Have played the apex pro forged the last 3yrs. I went and got fitted and figured I'd stay with cally and get the new apex pro's.... well, after hitting them for about 30min, I did not like them at all! The new cf16's are nice and go forever but they are a little to hot for me and the lower spin will be troublesome. So, I started hitting the new miz jpx 990 tour and really liked them. Then I picked up the new ap2's and they felt great, similar to the jpx but the turning point for me was the ap2's felt softer and even with a toe or heel hit they still felt really good unlike the 990's; toe and heel shots no forgivenesses at all. So I sat on it for a night and ended up ordering me some ap2's with the Nippon pro modus 3 tour 120 steel. the project x LZ 5.5 were nice shafts as well but went with the Nippon instead. Excited to get them in a week and start playing.

Congrats on the new clubs I went through a similar transition as you recently with the clubs and I don't know why it took me so long to switch to titleist.
I have heard great things about the Nippon modus how did they compare to other shafts you tried in the ap2s.
  6. Mike H- they had that soft smooth feeling at impact. I really liked how the call came off and its flight. I tested the project x LZ 5.5, 6.5 and they felt really good too but the niddon was just softer and more smooth so that's why I went with them. Excited to get them. It'll prob be a week though and of course this weekends weather is going to be high 60's low 70's here in Kansas City

Welcome Eric! Most of us can relate to your story. It never hurts to try other stuff, as it makes you realize how good Titleist equipment feels. And, as we all know, Golf is a feel game.
  8. Congrats bud! And of course, welcome to the team. I'll bet you'll stay for a long while...

Welcome aboard. Most of us have played the other brands and settled with Titleist. Right choice, in my opinion.

Welcome to Team Titleist! Glad to have you here and enjoy the new clubs. Be sure to follow up with the group once you receive your new clubs and have a chance to take them to the course.
  13. Irons came in today 5min before I had to leave for work(I work nights). With the irons being direct signature required I was worried I'd leave for work and FedEx would come then I'd have to wait another day or so. Swung the PW a few times, amazing :). I have the niddon pro modus3 tour 120 s shafts. Going to try and make it out in the am to play 9.
