  1. I just bought a 917D3 last week. I wish I had bought the D2. Should I try to sell it, return it, or will someone trade me for a D2?

Take it to local golf shop and trade it!

You've already discussed this with your seller?

I also had a little buyers remorse at first. Thought I wanted a more forgiving club. You might stick with it. I love my D3 now.
  5. I would keep it until you have purchased and played for a few weeks with your new D2. You never know, you may prefer it after all...

If you plan to sell it, which is what I would do, you should be able to still get a good price in the secondary market!

If you're worried about it, have you tried to go back to where you purchased it and have you hit both models and see which one you hit better?

Also, why do you wish you purchased the D2 over the D3?

Have you looked into any type of return policy? There are a bunch of golf retailers out here (in AZ) that have a 90-day playability guarantee, where you could get up to 90% back within that 90-day window, depending on the club condition and it's only for store credit. If your store does this, it could be a small price to pay for switching out clubs.

But I would first try out both clubs to see what works better for you.
