    Can you use the 917 driver without the cg weight?

    I would say no. The weight is a critical part of the balance of the club. I would also bet that the club might become non-conforming without the weight.

    If you find the club feels heavy, see a fitter and maybe get a lighter weight.

    Hi John, You could use it without a weight, but because the end cap has a hole in it, you would expose the inside of the head as well as render it non conforming. It is, as Chris said, designed to be used with a weight.
