I'm not sure how to take the following news release....Is Titleist going the route of producing & marketing higher end clubs for the niche market, while still producing & marketing it's clubs for the standard market? I can understand why they might, if they want to compete.

What are your views/thoughts on the subject?

I think it is pretty cool for titleist to offer these extra lines and services. It gives the golfers who want the tour experience a chance to get it. I was a little weary of it while first reading through but then thought about how smart of an idea it is for everybody. The technology that is developed and identified as common in these higher end offerings could eventually make it into the other lines if feasible and then every titleist club benefits. So I may not be getting fit for these clubs, but I am excited to see their progression.

At $500 a wedge and some sources say to replace your wedges every 75 rounds, these wedges definitely would only be in the bag of some dudes who are extremely rich or who thinks they are the end all wedge to fix their short game issues and money is no object.

Not really different than the Japanese market that has some high end options for the "discriminating buyer". So long as they don't retire the Vokey line and price points when Bob does, they can offer $500 wedges with a $500 fitting ($2000 minimum) to those willing to pay it.

I agree with Don O, as long as the Vokeys stay intact I am good. If they go I will look elsewhere.
