I've had two sets of AP1's and two sets of AP2's. "Titleist" fit me when I purchased my first set of AP1's. 1"long and 4 degrees up with standard lofts.. I purchased a new set of 916 AP2's, added 1 inch and had them bent to 4 degrees up.. They started cracking at the hozzle when bending. Thought it was an apporation with that particular 6 iron so got another one and it cracked also, in the same spot. So, the question is, are the new AP2's being made from different material now? Different forging process? Manufacturing flaws? I have heard that a couple PGA guys have gone back to the previous model. What's going on? Lee

I think this is correct - Titleist does make several of their irons in flat and up 2 degrees. Depending on the specifications, they will fill orders from down 2 degrees to up 4 degrees. They do suggest that the finish will crack if you bend them more than 2 degrees in either direction.
