I went for a fitting last week and and also swapped out my entire bag except for my 4 Vokeys. 917 D2, 17 degree hybrid and 4-pw AP1's. The irons are amazing. One more week till I get everything and cannot wait. Good luck on yours!

Agree 100%! I was fitted for and began playing AP1 716's about a month ago. What difference these irons make. Better ball flight, trajectory and yes, greater distance than my old Tylor Made irons. Enjoy, I know I am :)

James even though I list the only non titleist clubs in my bag as muzino 900 jpx irons ( which were a gift ) i also have 716 ap1 s which also play and like better but am trying the muzinos to satisfy myself but got to tell you the ap1 s are the best I've hit both are senior flex Graf. But titleist more consistent everyday of the week so you have. Made the rite choice titleist has great support customer service the best in the industry by a long shot enjoy

I'm going through a similar transition. Ordered my new AP1's last week and some Vokey SM6's to complete the lower end. I've normally carried wedges at 52, 56, and 60, but because of the strength of lofts and added distance with the AP1's, I also got a 48. I debated between the AP1 GW and the SM6 48 degree, but at the end of the day, during my fitting the Vokey's just felt too good to not choose that. I should have my clubs at the end of the month and can't wait to game them!

I'm curious, what did you do to fill the yardage gap because of the added AP1 distance?

Same here. Almost the entire bag, but not quite - kept my current putter and driver. Did the Titleist Thursday fitting for irons and wedges. Arriving soon will be my new 3-PW AP1's and 48, 52, 56, and 60 degree SM6 wedges. The Vokey's felt so good that I decided to cover the distance gap with the 48 deg instead of the AP1 gap wedge.

What did you guys do to cover that distance gap?

Well depending on what previous model you were gaming, that dramatic jump in distance would be expected with the lowered lofts of the AP1 irons vs. those of MB irons.

The 716 AP1's are beyond amazing!
I got fitted a few weeks ago and have been using it for the past two weeks, ball flight is incredible, I was able to hit it further while maintaining accuracy and the forgiveness is unreal. Enjoy your new AP1's!

I have played png irons since 1995 and was very reluctant to change to another brand. I had my G30 grips changed and was given a set of AP1's as a loan set. I seriously could not believe how well the AP1's performed. That was a very expensive day for me as I ordered a set of AP1's when I returned to the Pro Shop. Not only are they a forgiving set of irons, I feel so confident when addressing the ball that it has brought a new level of confidence to hit aggressive shots that I've never felt before!
