The Titleist fitters are awesome and they are free. I always get fitted and it is worth the 45 minutes you spend with them. Great bunch of professionals.

Not hating at all, but curious as to why you already made up your mind about going for the AP2 without at least trying the AP3 or rest of the lineup? Why do you think 43pw is nuts? Loft is just a number to help you hit a specific distance. What does it matter if it's 43-48 for some people?

Either way, good luck and enjoy whatever you go with dude!

I would think that someone who has a current full bag with a 47 or 48 PW and have their other wedges around this setup, maybe a 52/54 and 58, might not be so keen on a 43 wedge as the gap may be too large and they don't want to upgrade their wedges or leave out another club to fit a fourth wedge.

I've held off buying new wedges until the specs for the 718's came out for this reason. I was looking at AP2's but want to try the AP3's and this will affect my wedge selection.

Makes sense, especially if someone just purchased new wedges.

Jeff, FYI-If you're looking at purchasing new wedges, I'd suggest maybe waiting for the new Vokey SM7's. They will be out very early in the new year and I heard they are great!
  9. I hadn't heard about SM7's. I'll be buying around xmas since I'm away for work a lot, so I'll see whether the SM7's are out then. I may wait but the SM6's are pretty nice anyway, probably can't really go wrong either way.
  10. Wow, it figures I just bought new irons about a year ago and now these come out. I suppose I shouldn't buy a new set of irons, BUT if I hit them and like them I will be trading in or selling a really nice set of 716's.
