I was wondering what the approach of Titleist is to balance the spine of the shaft for the 917 driver with the head. I have been struggling getting comfortable with the stock Diamana Blue Board shaft for my 917 D2 driver. I had my local golf shop check whether the spine of the shaft was in balance with the head. I have a six year old driver from another company that I really have liked the feel. The test on that driver found the spine to be perfectly balanced with the head. In checking the 917 D2 driver, there was a definite wobble in the head when tested for the spine balancing. I have been told that it is not uncommon to find that the construction of drivers, do not test for spine balancing. The result of the shaft not being in balance with the head can cause the head to try to balance itself once it is loaded in backswing and cause the head to move off center in the downswing. If anyone else has experienced this situation, I'd be curious what you did to remedy this situation. I am probably looking of buying a new shaft and having it fit to my 917 D2 head.
Thanks;
