Let the data decide for you. I went to my Titleist Thursday fitting expecting to get a TS2 but the results were better for me with the TS3. That's what i got, TS3 10.5 Tensei Blue 55 R. Try to do an outdoor fitting (the Titleist Thursday's are free) and let the combination of TrackMan data and visual feedback put you in the right model. Good luck!

I had the same experience as you and ended up with the same head/shaft combination as you - interesting that TS3 head ended up on a regular shaft for me. I have played stiff shafts in all my Titleist drivers before.

I chose the TS 2 over the TS 3. Mainly because I'd rather the forgiveness of off center hits than being able to dial in certain flights. I've gone back and forth between my 917 D2 and a png G30 driver all summer. Love the feel of the 917 but must admit the png can be more forgiving, especially on a day when all is not perfectly dialed in. Played first round with the TS 2 this past weekend, and it gave me the feel and distance of my 917 but the forgiveness of the png. Started out on standard settings, tried moving to a draw setting, but found the standard settings were great and worked find. Looking forward to a week in Myrtle Beach Saturday for a week and 8 rounds of testing. Good luck with whichever you decide.
  5. I tried them both before I made my final decision. The TS2 gave me more speed and more consistency. I am more of a driver purist as well. I’m not a huge fan of moving parts, as the driver I came away from was a single loft, forged driver. I’m now team title it’s woth my TS2!

I had better numbers with the TS3, and I like the head shape better. The Hzrdus Smoke is a great compliment to the TS3 in my opinion.
  7. The TS3 is amazing!!! Only problem is I have now been waiting over a month after paying £450 to American golf.

Anyone else had to wait this long? I would be interested to know.

Build is fast (around a week) so probably an overseas shipping issue.

If you enjoy looking at it you'll enjoy playing it is what I say when buying new equipment.

I was getting similar gains from both the TS2 & TS3 against my old 917 D3 during my fitting but I love the look of the TS3 with the HZRDUS Smoke shaft so that was the one for me.

Sort of thread-napping here, but anyway- Would 917 weights work with the new TS series drivers? Asking for a friend.

    Thanks,

I was fitted for TS driver. My choice was the TS3 Smoke and love the forgiveness. For me Ts2 gave me 1 yard more cary and same total distance.
But I prefer the traditional look.
    This replace my 915d3.

After my first round with the driver, I bought the 15 degree fairway wood. I played a round with it and still impressed by the performance of the TS.
I just ordered the 18 degree TS3 with the Smoke.

I never thought that I would ever put a 3 wood in my bag.

I tried both of them. TS2 was giving me 1 more yards carry over TS3, total distance about the same. Just a bit less dispertion with TS3. Higher launch with TS2.
My choice was the TS3 with Smoke shaft.
I played few rounds and I am happy with my choice.
Very forgivving compare to my previous 915d3. Surprising distance on mishits.

  14. I bought the ts3 smoke but after a few rounds changed it to the evenflow, they performed about the same bit I just prefered the look of the evenflow. Luckily my dealer swapped the shift over with their demo one :)

Tried them both I decided the TS2 with the Smoke shaft . Distance was about the same with both but the Ts2 was more
forgiving, fairway finder . Piped it over and over again , plus I prefer the sound and feel of the Ts2.

Just got back from 8 days in Myrtle Beach with my new TS2. I went for the TS2 with a Rogue Shaft. I liked my 917D2 a lot, but when the game was off just a bit, another brand, Bubba's driver, was more forgiving. I was hoping to get both out of the TS2. Well, for once in my game, I got what I was looking for. The game was off just a bit all week, (northern boy from bluegrass and poa annua, to Bermuda all about, always takes a bit), but the drives were great. The TS2 was great, keeping in the fairway 90% of the time. Got every bit of distance that I got out of the 917 yet more forgiving on slight off center hits. The best of both worlds. I am to say the least, very happy with with my new TS2. Too bad we are on the downward side of golf up here in the Northeast. Here's hoping for some "Indian summer".
