  1. Opinions on what you all like between the two drivers. I just picked up the TS2 and it’s very smooth! Any suggestions on shafts? It’s seems like the pros like the TS3 more from what’s in the bag. Thoughts?

  2. Both are really good clubs. Got slightly better numbers with the TS3 and I fight a hook so I got the 3. The TS2 was really good and a great club but I liked the look of the TS3. The Smoke shaft is a great one.

TS3 Driver and TS2 fairway for me.
I like the TS3 Driver but the TS2 15 degree wood is insanely good.

I Think it really depends what one works for you.
I’ve been fitted for the TS2 and absolutely love it.
The TS3 is a great club, but that day of testing, it couldn’t match the performance of the ts2 for my swing.

I was fit at a Titleist Thursday in the TS3 9.5 Hzrdus Smoke 5.5, because I have a push fade and he said it was good to have the draw weight in. The day wasn’t the greatest when I got fit, chilly, windy and rain heading our way so we hurried.

I then talked to the pro that I get lessons from and he suggested the TS2, because it was much more forgiving and majority of amateurs go with the TS2.

So I went with the TS2, but it’s amazing how many amateurs I have read that have gotten fit into the TS3. Once the snow melts, I will have to get out and try them again in early May at a demo days with Titleist that will be near me.

Is the TS3 as forgiving as the TS2 with who favored the TS3? I understand launch and spin, etc., but I am a 5 handicap and I still like forgiveness, but I do like the look of the TS3. Thanks for any feedback!!

I was expecting to be fit into the TS2 but when we tried both, for me, the numbers were better on the TS3. I was also used to past drivers with the higher profile look (had 917D3, 915D3, 913D3) so TS3 sets up more comfortably to my eye. I was also very used to versions of Aldila shafts but the Tensei Blue is performing much better for me. A little longer but mainly much more consistent.
  7. I'm a 9 and recently had a fitting and was put in a 9.5 TS3 with a smoke 6.0 shaft @ 45". We tried the TS2 and other shafts but on the day of the fitting TS3 had better numbers.

I did go with TS2 in fairways though. Again, at a fitting I was getting better numbers with the TS2 (smoke 6.0 shaft). Tried the TS3 and it just didn't have the same feel.

That's the great thing about fittings (and living near a Carl's) I can try all the various combo's and see what works best with me.
  8. I hit a Taylor Made R5 for years until I cracked the face. Then purchased a 430cc Taylor Made M1, although I gained distance, I’ve never been able to shape the ball like I could with the R5. With that being said I’ve purchased a TS-2 in the hopes of becoming more consistent off the tee, with the ability to hit a power fade and or baby draw when needed. I absolutely love my AP2/716 irons and hoping to fall in love with my recent purchase. Only time/rounds will tell. Y’all be safe out there and shoot low.

Id love to hear a little more on what specifically separates the two drivers. I bought a TS2 9.5 with hazardous smoke from my local Roger Dunn golf shop, and while I think its a great driver I think it might not be the best one for me. I think Im loosing a bit of distance from too much spin and I play a natural draw. I've been eyeballing some TS3 8.5 heads and really wanted to schedule a day at the TPI to get my set fitted from top to bottom before this whole Covid thing shut it down.

    Thoughts?
  10. I had the TS2 driver with the hazardous smoke shaft in it. About half way through last year of golf tournaments, I switched to the TS3 driver with the tensei blue shaft. I was able to gain more launch on the driver which created an extra 10 to 15 yards. I still have my TS2 3-wood and haven't seen a reason to change it.

    Hi,
Just came across this thread and saw your comment. I am also wondering if I should try the TS3 driver. Can you please share what specifications you had on your TS2 driver and shaft and what you now have on your TS3?
    Thanks!

Ts3 driver for me and ts2 fairway wood and hybrid.. ts3 is the best overall driver I’ve ever hit.

there was virtually no difference in yardages between the TS2 and TS3 for me with the same shaft. Both were very forgiving but TS3 was slightly lower spin. It all came down to looks for me.

i picked TS3 for its traditional shape.

I prefer the look of a driver that is a little deeper faced so the ts3 is perfect. But if you want more forgiveness the ts2 is great. I also like that the ts3 has a movable weight so you can move the weight closer to where you strike it.
