  1. Weight cartridge is rattling in my TS3 I just got on Tuesday and all is tight - took out cartridge and checked everything. All looks good and still rattles. Anyone else have same issue? Only hit about 25 balls with it? Good news was our pro was in my group and took it right away for repair I hope!

  2. Unlucky Keith... Haven't heard of any other instances like this, certainly not here on the TT threads.
I suppose it must happen from time to time.

  3. I also had that issue with my TS3 weight. It was the +4 gram weight and it took three weights until we got one that did not rattle. I put the weights in different heads just to make sure it was the weight and not the club. Our Titleist rep Nick Kowal stepped up right away and got me new weights each time. The first two weights only stayed quiet for 4 to 5 swings before they started to rattle. The third one has worked for a few rounds on the course and plenty of range time. When I spoke with Titleist about a month ago when it started, they stated they had not heard anything about that happening. In fact, they wanted the “defective” weights back to check them. Posssiblly just a bad batch.

No regrets on the purchase of the TS3 and nothing but praise to the Titleist people for their handling of the situation.
  4. Same problem after about 12 hits.

Hopefully you can get it fixed mate and not loose confidence in the driver.

I had the same issue with the 917 weights. It was the 14-gram weights. Took multiple tries to get one that didn't rattle. Not sure it affected performance but was annoying.
  7. Has anyone had this resolved? Just purchased a TS3 myself and hit about 15 times. The weight rattles VERY badly in the head..
  8. I just got my new TS3 and the weight rattles too! I thought the epoxy had come lose but it is indeed the weight is rattling. Love the driver but hate the sound this rattle makes.

I found a small rubber washer type bushing in a new sealed weight set I bought. My 917 D2 doesn't rattle so I left it as is. Wondering if the TS Driver weights come with a bushing.
  10. Hit mine for the first time today and mine is rattling. I’m really irritated.

Hi, If the weight cartridge rattles, please have your pro shop contact our Warranty department with your serial number and we can get a replacement out to you right away. We are asking for the weight to come back so that we can send them to the vendor to have them inspected.
  12. We changed mine out with the demo in the pro shop and I haven’t had any problems since. I originally had the 4g weight in it and not sure what’s in it now but it’s working well! Thx!
  13. Good to hear that you got it resolved.

  14. I have a similar rattle, got the driver as a gift, so I’m not sure about a warranty or anything, but how do you recommend I fix it?

This thread is 4 years old. The TS model was replaced by the TSi in Fall of 2020, and the TSR model replaced it as the current model in the Fall of 2022.

If the gift person can prove it was purchased within the last 12 months new from an authorized dealer, then a prior model could be eligible for a warranty check and possible replacement. The warranty is 12 months from purchase. Even my TSR driver is beyond the warranty period as I purchased it 15 months ago.
  16. After a custom fitting where I hit at least 10 different drivers I found the TS3 was the one for me. I just received it and took it to the range for the very first time. After about 20 shots the head began to rattle loudly. I tightened all the screws but the rattle stayed. The only way the rattle goes away is if I remove the weight. Heading back to the pro shop where I bought it for a repair or replacement.

See Cathi's comments above. There were a few bad weights that got out and they will get you a replacement, no problem.
  18. Had a new weight installed today. Back to the range to give it another go.
  19. Had a brand new TS3, hit it about 5 times and the weight rattled. Sent it back, put new weight in, month later... rattling again. I’m fed up. Been a Titleist guy for a long time. To charge what they charge and have these issues is frustrating.
  20. Michael W,

Just made the transition to Team Titleist. I finally upgraded from my beginner set of a full Cobra Bag. I just spent over $1,000 on a new driver, wedges, and iron set. I just got the TS3 driver fitted to my specs yesterday and took it out to the course to play 9 holes. Didn't have a range so I just began to play, by the 3rd hole I had heard a rattling as well. Talk about frustrating. I believe it is a defect in the weight as when I take the weight out it doesn't rattle. I am taking it back today and getting it fixed. It is crazy to pay that much for clubs only to have them do this. I feel your pain.

I just got a Brand New TS3 15 degree 3 Wood and have not hit one ball with it yet. I went to reposition the CG weight to a bias Fade and when I went to take the weight out one of the magnetic weights fell into the head and I can't get it out. Has this happened to anyone? So disappointing! Brand New with plastic and never seen one ball yet! Please help!!! With golf season starting real soon on the East Coast, I need to get a replacement TS3 head from Titleist ASAP. Any help would be Greatly Appreciated!!! Thanks, Bob

Robert, you will not get a replacement head for something that is out of production. You should take it back to the retailer who sold it to you and see if it can be sent in for repair or refunded. These matters are best addressed by the retailer and if then not resolved, the customer service contact info is at the bottom of the website.

If you purchased yours when they first came out they would have been possibly been in the fall of 2016 and that would make it long past it's warrant period. I still have my 917 driver and three wood and have never had any issues (currently play the TSIs due to increased distance and accuracy) and trying to figure how the weights fell into the head unless the the screwing mechanism was stripped. Titleist is very good about standing behind their products that are within the warranty period. Just like having a 50,000 mile warranty on the engine on your car and it blows up at 90,000 miles. Do not think the car manufacturer would give you a new engine. Think you need to be reasonable in what you are asking. Just sayin'.
