I ordered my AP 2 black irons weeks ago with a RELEASE date of March 1st. Even if they were on a slow bost from China, I would have received them by now. I have been a Titleist loyalist for decades. There are at least 3 other threads asking where are their black irons. So far, no one has responded. Calling the customer service number was an effort In futility as all I received was a runaround with no answer as to when or if I would receive my clubs. All I was told was ask the retailer. Ask the retailer? I have ordered plenty of Titleist items through retailers, and all of them have shipped directly from Titleist. What would my retailer know as to when Titleist decides to ship items? Nothing. A simple “ there is a delay in ...” would be more than sufficient. Total silence is not. I am more than disappointed in the lack of response. A little information goes a long way. I also have another issue concerning a warranty replacement on a hybrid that Titleist seems to have misplaced, even though the tracking number shows that someone at Titleist signed for it. Still waiting 5 weeks later. Not exactly filling me confidence to remain a Titleist loyalist.

The retailer would have the Titleist order number. Some chains will be difficult to get the answer if they send orders to their corporate office and then that office centralizes all the orders and then places them. Even if I order through Dan's Discount for a drop shipment direct to me (that site is in Oregon and I'm in Wisconsin) I still have to have them trace the order. Getting an outlet to call corporate to trace an order may be an ordeal harder than a root canal.

My pro shop has always either called Titleist or the local Titleist rep to check on orders for me. I've had the occasional delay but always got feedback on it. Maybe the local rep can get involved on both situations. The retail site should have a name and number.
  3. Interesting you post as I was about to post the same question - WHERE ARE MY BLACK IRONS?? My story is this: I got fit on 2/3 with the intent of them being here on 3/1. Actually bought a driver/3-wood/wedges in between which all got here no problem but ordered at the same time as the irons. 3/1 came, no clubs. Talked with local rep and he told me there was a problem with 4-irons that should be resolved quickly. No clubs...then last week he called me and told me that the AMT shafts were on back-order in an X-Stiff, which I was ok with because I was out all week anyway and wouldn't be playing. Then this week came around and I still have no clubs and I sent him an email with no answer??

What was the point of me getting fit on 2/3 if they were going to be delayed anyway??

I preordered mine and they came in. Worth the wait I promise. They are beautiful.

At the SD TT event, Cathi managed to get a time to visit the production floor on Monday. The custom area station we saw was cranking out custom black AP irons, to the tune of 1 set every 40 minutes. There are also multiple stations building clubs. I did get my set on March 1. These relative low volume products would have the risk that some components would be in short supply, based on the estimated response and the vendors able to supply in smaller quantities. Many of us got ours on time so it was/isn't Titleist's intention to over promise in general. Hope you can enjoy your set soon as those of us that have them.
I had them at the event, and the course staff couldn't help themselves from pulling them out for a gander. They are striking.

I preordered my AP2’s in January. Maybe someone, somewhere can say that demand exceeded supply and there is a backlog of orders. Nope. nothing. My retailer and Titleist customer service are tight lipped almost acting like I am asking for Trade secrets. I paid for the clubs in full 2 months ago and still have no idea when I will be getting my clubs. One would think that with all the posts asking where their black irons are, someone from Titleist would have chimed in. Like I posted before, a little information goes a long way.

Side note. The issue I have with the cracked 818 Hybrid that my Pro shop mailed in 5 weeks ago and Titleist lost, is being resolved. I talked to Jeremy at customer service and he fixed in 3 days, what my pro shop and the Titleist returns department couldn’t fix in weeks. Thank you Jeremy.
