I guess each of us are constantly interrupted, while watching golf, about how to improve our golf game. One that really gets me is the Square Strike. How to improved you game around the green. Put away your wedges. Lee Trevino, if I recall correctly, always said get it on the ground quickly for best results. As I watched that advertisement I noticed the loft of the club and it was 45*. Hummmmm!!!!!! That is equivalent to a pitching wedge or in some case maybe a nine iron. Seems simple to me. When I am off the edge of the green that is what I normally do, with great results. I use a putting stroke with my nine iron or PW with awesome results. Think most have been doing this for years. What do you do? Guess that is what makes the golf industry interesting. People chasing the perfect game, other than buying good equipment, getting fit by qualified fitters, and taking a lesson. But what do we know. Guess we are Titleist snobs. With respect. Cheers. ; )

Chuck... As my old mother-in-law used to laugh and say, "If it really worked, they would be selling it in regular stores."

She was probably talking about knitting needles or crochet hooks, but I always felt the principle was pretty valid.

I watch the Golf Channel and I find it very amusing with the Teeless Driver, GX7 Metal, C3i Wedge and of course the Square Strike. What a load of rubbish and waist of money, all being promoted by so called professional coaches. If they were as good as they say they are then the pros would be using them. Right I've had my rant now onto the serious stuff.
I use a 9 or 8 iron depending on distance for chipping get the ball on the green quickly and let it roll out, works really well for me fairly often chipping in. I've been using them virtualy since I started playing golf apart from when I first used a Bronty Chipper (who remembers them). If at the end if the day budget golf clubs work for people then thats ok like they say, if it works don't change it.

Best way to improve your game is by practice and correct repetition of solid fundamentals. Go see your club pro to help you out.

Maybe the attraction is the free set of steak knives you get!
I'm with you Chuck, 9 iron/pw off the edge of the green.

I'll venture to guess the fact probably is, these gadgets might work for golfers who really have very little skill to work with.

What I see in them is, they are one dimensional. If you want to work the ball, or hit a variety of wedge shots instead of having a wedge that only hits bump and runs, none of the gadgets are for the golfer who is even just slightly more advanced.

By "slightly more advanced", I certainly don't mean single digit handicap players either. I know plenty of 20 handicappers who have good variety in their short games with their wedges in hand.

I relate it to the infomercials of diet-pills and secret work out plans or exercise equipment that can be used to "lose weight fast", just a seemingly quick solution to a problem in which people do not want to put the time and effort into addressing.

In the case with the Square Strike, why work on you swing with an iron/wedge you already have when you can just buy this one and it magically works right out the box!
