I recently purchased custom fit AP3 irons. When I hit 8, 9, PW or 48, the sound at impact is the same as what I was used to with my previous irons. However, when I hit 4, 5, 6 or 7, there's a distinct difference in sound at impact. There's a definitive "click" sound. The closer to the sweet spot I hit it, the more pronounced the click noise.

I don't remember that sound from my fitting. I'm curious if this sound is normal for the AP3 design and why it only happens in the 4, 5, 6 or 7. I haven't noticed any impact on the clubs performance...just a difference in sound.

P.S. My fitting was done by a very reputable fitter and facility so I have no concerns about the irons being authentic.
