  1. I recently traded for a nice set of 4-w set of original 2008 AP2s. Just wanting to see what your personal experience of performance progress trough the generations of AP2s?

I’ve got the 710 ap2 and I’ve owned them since they came out , can’t say I’ve been tempted to upgrade, they still perform the same as the day I got them

I had the original AP2, AP2 712, 714 and still the AP2716 which is in my opinion like the 718 the most forgiving AP2 ever. The original feels very soft at impact but the main difference is the forgiveness compared to 716, 718 or the new T100. I think to switch to a set of T200 but will definitely miss a full forged clubhead.

Had a set of the originals, bought a set of 714ap2s and sold them and went to 716AP1s and the went to T300s....I needed a more forgiving clubs....heck at 73, I need all the forgiving I can get and with regular shafts, finally....oh I got my originals back this year, gave my brother in law a 915 driver and a 913 hybrid for them for his son....just do not have the club head speed for these beauties...now they and the 716AP1s are sitting here gathering dust.....

Douglas, I wish i still had mine as a back up set. One of the smoothest hitting AP2’s up till the 716 and 718’s. Enjoy them.
  7. I still game the 712 AP2's and love them. Just need to get the lie/loft checked every 12 or so months as with all forger clubs the can bend over time. Not looking at upgrading them anytime soon!
