Looking to upgrade iron set...

    Hi, I am rejoining the game...

    Last I played was off a 12 handicap (about 4 years ago) and currently swinging to around a 16.  Getting to the point, I am still using the 'Original' png Eye 2 (square groove) irons with the original shafts.  So the clubs and shafts are 25 years old!  I use a Scotty Cameron putter and Vorkey Wedges and am very happy.  Would the masses agree I would see an improvement from a set of AP1 or AP2 irons?  Next question is which set... AP1 or 2 with a potential 12 handicap??

    Technology has changed in the past 25 years, especially when it comes to golf. I'm sure that you'd see an improvement. I could be very wrong, but, I'd suggest the AP1's. However, you could also go with a mixed set. Say, perhaps, 3-5 AP1's, 6-PW AP2's? Either way, you should definitely get fitted! You won't be sorry.

    I believe you will see a great improvement with the new Titleist irons.  Get fitted and see what works best for you.
