would anyone recomend that i cut down my new scotty from 35" to 34"?

yes you can cut it down if the 34" fits you properly, the head weight will feel lighter but if its one of the new studio select or California series putters then you would be able to send it back to the custom shop and get heavier weights to bring the balance back up

Well, it depends if you will be ok with a putter that is a bit heavier than the 'factory' weight since 35" head is heavier than 34"

Hey Simon I think the only person that can tell u about your is your comfort level with your putter not me or anyone else I am sure people in the past that tried to use the belly putter were told at the time that it would not be good for you.
PS-I have not still heard or seen a PRO tell someone to use a belly so go with what is comfort to you.I have 2 putters I play with and one 33 and one at 34 why both different stylesw.

BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING FIND YOUR PUTTER WITH A SHORTER SHAFT AND TRY IT OUT.
I HAVE A 35 CUT DOWN TO 33 AND THE FEEL IS---COMPLETELY-- DIFFERENT.
YOU MUST ALSO TRY TO FIND THE GRIP THE SAME AS THE ONE YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE.THATT TOO MAKES A BIG DIFFERENCE.
GE CAREFUL WITH THAT WONDERFUL CLUB.

Which putter is it? Does it have adjustable weighting?
