    Hi,

im thinking of getting a club for those tight Par 4s and 5s. i'm hitting my driver ard 250-270yds. im currently using a 19hybrid for that. i also have a 21hybrid to replace the 3i. as i only hit my 4i ard 190. the 21h gives me abt 200 yds.

So my concern now is whether a 17h or a 15w. which hopefully gives me the yardage of 230-240.

i'm pretty confident when using my hybrids. Be it off the tee or fairway. But having the plan of getting a wood, im afraid i cant use it off the fairway in the event where i need it for trying 2 on for Par 5s. i've heard so much abt hitting a wood off the fairway.

Can the pros out there, point out some pros and cons of them? and in your opinion, which would you choose. I'm more of a player that lay up my Par 5s with 3 on rather than 2. so the 17h or 15w would probably be a tee up club.

    Comments?

If it's primarily a tee shot club, a 17H or possibly a 13.5F could be ideal.  You essentially want a "baby driver" so these two heads can provide a lower spin rate for tee shots.

If it is for driving I would choose the13.5* fairway wood.  If you are worried about the 2nd shot I would choose the hybrid 17*.  I use the 909H 17* and it has a better launch than the fairway and I get a very good roll also.  I hit it about 245-250 off of the tee also.  I am waiting to hit the 910 F also so I can see what that is capable of.

I went to Golfsmith and hit the 910F and it felt great! I also hit it pretty far. I was going in to look at the 909's, but after hitting the 910 I couldn't pass it up. One thing I did have a problem with was slicing the ball. Once I closed my stance a little it seemed to help though. I can't wait until they start shipping them so I can hit out on the driving range.

I was in the same position. I was going to get a 13.5 910f then 17 and 21 hybrid. i hit the 13.5 and didnt hit it so hot and switched to a 15 wood and man is it awesome (plus with the new line you could always deloft the club, which is AWESOME). the guys at the local golf shop i buy all my stuff from let me take out and demo the 17 and 21 which made me come back and just split the difference and get the 19 910h since i went with the 15 910f. the clubs are awesome and you wont be disappointed.
