Titleist: I am getting three new wedges. 52,56,and 60. I am a scratch golfer who likes to manipulate and create different shots around the green, And I don't hit one club only I use what I think is best for the shot.

I was looking at the Vokey wedgeworks wedges and wanted to get all Black oxide. Will the same grind on all three be a limiting factor as I see a lot of players going with the 60* in the M grind and getting the other wedges with the standard off the rack grind but with different bounces? I hope this makes sense and look forward to your advice as I need to pull the trigger on these wedges soon:)

Brent:  it's not the M grind standing for most favorite for nothing! :) The grind is one of the most versatile ever designed and although each loft has the grind, the bounces are slightly different.

    52: 13 effective 8

    56: 17 effective 12

    60: 15 effective 8

At our studio, we tend to favor players with multiple bounces in general.  Gives them the most options for a variety of courses.

Would the 52 and 56 also be good for full shots from the fairway? I don't use the 60 to much for full shots unless absolutely necessary. But I do with the other two. Thanks again for your response

    Brent,

I have played the 60 M for 2-3 years now and I love it.  Funny thing is, there is a guy in town (tour van guy) who grinds wedges and contrary to Ryan's synopsis of M-Grind, my grinder said M Grind stands for M****r F****r :)  Anyway, recently, I bought the new Black Oxide c of c in 54 and 60* - both bent 1* strong (53 and 59*).  I love them even more.  The 54(3)* is great from the fairway.

P.S. I play very tightly mown fairways (tight lies).

That is great news. Now I just have to wait till April 8th for the demo day so I can get fitted properly.

One other thing what is the wait time on the wedges from Wedgeworks?

Usually takes us about two weeks to order and receive!
