  1. Hi everyone. Thanks in advance for this discussion. I’m a 10 handicap a d bought new Gen 4 PXG 0:11T irons a few years ago. I like the look, but not been happy with the lack of workability in this iron. I’m looking at the T200’s. Any advice on these irons or another set based on my handicap and wanting more out of my next irons. Thank you.

    Welcome to Team Titleist!!!!

my simple advice would be to schedule a fitting or at least find some demo days. Even stores like PGA Superstore can work. This will allow you to see and try different irons. The goal would be to see your numbers on launch monitors so that you can see what is the best combination of club & shaft. Things like distance PLUS dispersion will be the good deciding factors.

I've always taken the approach that the fitter hands me a club and hit it without looking to not be biased

The Titleist T-series irons are one price per iron. Titleist sponsors fittings that are $100 to reserve will roll the price into a purchase that day. Sounds like a free professional fitting to me.

That person will work with you on the model and shaft for your game. If appropriate, may also suggest a blended set for longer irons you may not hit as well. We all have opinions, but the fitter has a Trackman and a full set of fitting heads and tons of shafts available as options.
  4. All you are going to hear from this group is to get fit. I'm assuming you already know that. I had the same experience with the lack of workability with the 0311p pxg irons. Of course, some of this is due to the shaft. I switched to the titleist 620 cb irons. Lost a little distance (due to different lofts), but gained some accuracy. Best of luck.

You may find a better fit in the T200 line, but if workability is something you're really keyed into feeling to be comfortable, I'd start you with the T100's with a variety of shaft options and fit from there.

My T200s are forgiving and able to work them. Better for me than the T350's I had. Great club and restored some of my lost distance due to age of me!! LOL

If you are looking for workablility, look at the T100's, T150's, and the T200's - at a proper fitting. I got fit into T150's out of my P770's and picked up distance (lower loft and a little more forgiveness), better dispersion, and better spin and descent angle. All of these were from my fitter recognizing what I needed to hit and building the correct head and shaft combo.

As others have said, the best place to look is at a Titleist club fitting event (linked below). The $100 is credited towards your purchase (that day). You'll know that you have the best equipment for you in your hands. Even if you don't buy, just think of it as the cost of 22 ProV's to go through the best fitting experience you've ever had.
