Has anyone else seen a TSi4 dent like this?

  1. For context, bought this new a few years ago, and have put a lot of range time through it, nothing ridiculous though. I also average a driver clubhead speed of 128-133mph (ball 190-195) and tend to hit center and just a touch high on the face. (I'm a young but retired professional baseball athlete and now Titleist Performance Institute Certified fitness instructor) Well, I noticed a few drives were "waffling" through the air at the range, almost as if they had slight topspin, but I knew they were center struck. Looked at the clubface against the light and just felt my stomach drop when I saw the deformation of the face. It is very hard to capture in photos, but clear as day in video and feeling it with my finger.

I imagine most players who have that clubhead speed are not using the same driver for multiple years, but just do not have the money to afford a new driver head and a (stupidly expensive) shaft.

Kind of feels like I'm being punished for speed and athleticism every time I need to get clubs, and it might be the thing that drives me away from the game for good. Especially when I could probably put together the perfect bag from the clubs pros 'toss' after a few uses.

I get that this is not a problem everyday golfers are dealing with and I'm venting a bit, truth be told, but just once I'd love to play clubs that are ACTUALLY built for speed like mine, even if it is the amateur level.

Glad to hear you are a TPI instructor. Many in the world of golf can benefit from golf mechanics instruction, especially those with a sedentary lifestyle.
It isn’t a secret that the drivers for the last 10 years have sacrificed club head stability to tweak that extra 0.5 mph ball speed with every release. Note the number of cally and TM drivers that get pulled at the pro level for losing conformity. Happens to Titleist drivers as well, but even my friends at speeds barely 100 mph swings have had more issues with non-Titleist drivers.
TSi is roughly 4-5 years old. That your driver with your speed has lasted this long is actually impressive. So, it’s time for a new one.
