Played my first round with the new GTS2 Driver today and had to come sing its praises. I can't remember ever having a round with a positive shots gained, but according to Arccos my shots gained was +1.4 and my driving was equivalent to a +2 handicap. I am a 10 handicap and these numbers are not something I am familiar with. My biggest issue is typical penalty shots off the tee and I only lost one ball yesterday and that was because I came up short into a creek on a wedge shot. I am so excited to see what this does for my game. Not to mention I have gained about 8-10 yards from my previous driver.

  2. That's a healthy strokes gained ! Have one round on my own GTS2 as well. While I haven't noticed much of a distance increase vs my gamer, it's quite forgiving, I find, in comparison. Need another 10 or so rounds with it to come to a real conclusion, but definitely liking the early returns !
  3. I upgraded my driver 2 weeks ago. I played with the TSR2 (10.5 degree) for the last few years and loved it so much I was unwilling to try anything else. Well, I've finally upgraded to the new GTS2 (11 degree) and all I have to say is...wow! I have been a Titleist devotee for many years, playing with DCI 962s, 716MBs, AP2 and currently with 2023 T200/T150 combo set. I'm a 68-year-old former athlete...40 years playing this game and I always been a fan of Titleist clubs because of their quality and performance. While I don't drive the ball 280 yards anymore, I still can poke it out there pretty good for an old athlete...my average yards with my reliable TSR2 were around 240-45, completely respectable fade and longer than most of my group I play with. I stopped playing from the "blue" tees just last year, but my new driver may just put me back there. In just three rounds, I gained about 7-12 more yards, and my ball flight is higher and controlled. I just changed over the shaft (Fujikura Ventus Blue R-55 Velocore+) from my TSR2, and I really can see the difference. I stopped hitting draws a few years ago and focus mainly on hitting mid-high fades, but I even hit a few draws that came in handy on some tough right-to-left par fours. And I got a few really long drives...with my longest being 273! I ain't hit it that long in the last 10 years...anyway...the new GTS2 is in my bag now and I'm now looking at upgrading my Titleist hybrids and 5 wood too!
