Haven’t posted here in a while, but I figured I’d check in.

I’ve been absolutely loving my GT2 driver this season. It’s been one of the best drivers I’ve ever owned, and I recently added the GT2 4-wood, which has been fantastic as well.

Now I’m trying to solve a different problem. One of the courses I play regularly doesn’t really reward hitting driver on a lot of holes. I find myself needing something that’s longer than my 4-wood but still gives me a little more control than pulling driver.

I’ve been wondering if a mini driver might be the answer. For those of you who’ve made the switch or added one to the bag, how has it fit between your driver and fairway wood? Did it actually earn a permanent spot, or did you end up going back to a traditional setup?

Before everyone jumps on me, I already have a fitting scheduled to figure out the right head, shaft, and specs. I’m just looking for some real-world stories and experiences from people who’ve actually gamed a mini driver. Thanks!

Wishing you the best on your quest for a better solution. Obviously the mini-drivers continue to be a popular option as now Titleist is releasing a GTS300 model. I understand your question and wanting to hear from others but my take is, don’t get too concerned about what others do or don’t use in their bags. If you have a set up that is unique to you and no other bag in the world has your same set up, who cares. The important thing is how it works for you and the confidence you get from your set up. Godspeed!

Since you've got a fitting scheduled, your best bet is golfwrx or YouTube.
