After 56 years of playing golf at age 70, I scored my first hole in one! It was at Heron Lakes Golf Club Greenback course in Portland, Oregon on 11/09/2020. It was getting dark and cold (42 deg.) I was about to quit but I thought, I can play one more; the par 3 16th . A beautiful hole with the green surrounded on 3 sides with water. I hit a beautiful tee shot with a Titleist Pro V1 ball. A very high wedge shot that looks like it was close to the pin. I couldn't see it land since it was behind a bunker but it looked to be close. When I got to the green, I couldn't see the ball. Where could it be? I knew it landed in the middle of a large green. It couldn't have rolled off. It gradually dawned on me what must have happened. I checked the hole and there was my ball! I couldn't believe it.
