I made my first hole-in-one on number 9 at Vesper Country Club on October 9th 2020. This my my 3rd time playing this private course as a guest of my neighbor who is a full time member. It’s a difficult par 3 that you cannot leave short or you will roll all the way down a steep hill. I contemplated Clubbing down because I knew if I didn’t hit it perfect, I would be short and roll all the way down the hill and leave me with a tough second shot. I ended up hitting a 5 iron that bounced a few yards in front of the hole and rolled in for an ace! What a day!! The only bad thing about the ace in number 9 is that there is a lunch/beverage shack right after the hole. Needless to say I was buying for the group!!
