I was working the cart barn at Lost Plantation Golf Club. I was waiting for the blitz to finish up, so I figured I could go ahead and play the back 9 for the time being. It was roughly 6:30 and the night was getting dark on hole #11 as it is tucked deep into the woods at Lost Plantation. I hit probably one of the most pure shots, knowing from the moment I made contact it was heading up to a great spot on the green. As I saw it floating away and falling from the sky, it was on line with the pin, but suddenly disappeared in the darkness. I could only rely on my ears to listen for the landing. As I heard a loud “POP” I almost fell to the ground. Immediately I ran for the cart and drove up to the green. Low and behold, there was my ball. Center cup. It was a slam dunk hole in one. I was overwhelmed with adrenalin and excitement. You couldn’t slap the smile off of my face. As I bent down to pick up my ball, I could only think that I will always love this game!
