Been golfing for 60 years and never had a hole in one, been close a few times. Playing on my local course with 3 of my regular golf buddies. 92 degrees, 75% humidity, 20mph wind in my face and directly into the afternoon sun. Came to hole #17, 161 yards, using a 3iron cut one into the green. Neither my 3 playing partners nor myself saw the ball go in because of the sun. We kept looking for the ball, and one of my best friends said maybe it went into the hole, and when he looked down at it he got one of those wry grins on his face. He called another of my friends over and he got one of those grins on his face also. That's when I figured I finally got it done. What a wonderful day.
