I’ve been playing since I was 15 and have had probably a dozen hole outs for eagle or birdie from outside 100 yards, but never a hole in one. We got a reciprocal tee time at another local club since ours was undergoing aeration. I have only played this club a few times. With two friends from my club I got my first hole in one on number 5 at Country Club of Maryland from the back tees at 186 yards with my 6 iron. I was really happy that it was a well struck shot, landed 5 feet short of the hole and rolled in. I was also glad that it was with a fresh Titleist Pro V1x so I have a great ball to put on my wall.
