On May 29, 2020 Mary Ann Maier and her usual sporty group of Thursday Ladies were playing at The Cove Course in Lake Ozark, MO. As she approached the tee of this daunting 107 yard Par 3 over water, she reached for her trusty driver, her usual tee box weapon of choice. After a smooth stroke, her Titleist AVX tracked straight for the hole, landed on the green and rolled smoothly toward the reversed cup. She didn’t initially believe the sounds of congratulations. She thought it had not fallen in the hole, while after arriving at the green learned her momentous fate. She quickly learned that beverages were purchased by her for all at the 19th hole. Her husband still remains on the sidelines awaiting his hopeful trip to the podium for those pencilling a One on his scorecard.
