May 10, 2020, Mother's Day, Falls Rd GC, Potomac, MD, 9am Tee time. Decided to let the mother sleep in and grab a quick round. Was still chilly and with wind gusting to 20mph, not the best weather. Was playing pretty nicely at only one under going into the 9th hole. Was showing off my 3 other Titleist Hole-in-One bag tags and bragging to my group that two of them had come on this very hole. That and reminding them you need to play a Titleist ball to get one those cool bag tags! lol With a 15-20 mph right in our face I pulled a 5 iron for the 155yd pin. Knowing the green slopes left, I absolutely flushed my draw landing it 20 feet right of the pin. From there, we just watched it spin left and let the slope do the rest ... trickled right up to the hole, bumped the mandatory C19 collar, and settled. My biggest fear was that it might not count due to the foam collar. But everyone saw it and agreed ... it was soft enough to just bump the foam collar and stay there. I checked the USGA Covid19 Modified Rules, and even with the collar it counts!
