We were playing our home course, Highland Country Club in Fayetteville, NC, on Wednesday, April 22. I was playing with 2 of my 3 sons: Hunter (11), Ryan (9), and 2 of their good buddies, Charlie (11) and Nate (9). It was a par 3, 173 yards, #8 at Highland. I am without question the worst golfer in my family, including my 3 sons and father-in-law. So I just hit a nice little 6 iron fade in there, took 2 bounces, rolled a little and then sat right on top of the little blue styrofoam noodle in the cup that highlighted the fact that this was occurred during the Coronavirus pandemic. When the ball stopped in the cup, Hunter quickly walked over to me with a huge smile on his face and gave me a hug while the other 3 sprinted up to the green and verified it was a hole in 1 by jumping up and down and going nuts. We celebrated with M&M's, skittles, Mnt Dew, Dr. Pepper, and a Fresca (and I am a dentist). It was just a great moment that I will never forget. Oh yea, and I was playing a Titleist DT Solo with blue and red writing!
