  1. Last October, my wife got a hole in one on hole #13 in Windstone, which straddles the Tennessee/Georgia state line near Chattanooga. Thursday was my turn. We are fortunate that our course is still open, so we’ve been taking advantage of the nice weather and golfing 4 – 5 days a week. The card says 146 yards from the white tees and it is across a large pond, so you have to carry at least 130 yards. I used a 22° hybrid, which I rate at 165 yards. I can’t say it was a pretty shot and it didn’t land 6” from the hole like Colleen’s, but as T. Boone Pickens used to say, “Better to be lucky than good.” The other 17 holes didn’t reflect a lot of skill, but with a hole in one, who really cares. Right?
