After 52 years of waiting, the lucky shot happened. The Links at Boynton Beach par 3 second hole is slightly uphill and well trapped on the left front, and water along the left side and behind the green. I measured it at 162 yards and selected a 7 iron. I hit it straight at the pin but lost it in the early morning sun. I thought it might be close, but because it was a back left pin position, it could have also gone off the back, down the hill and into the water. I didn’t see it on the green, so I looked behind the green and didn’t see it there either. One of my playing partners suggested I look in the hole. To my delight, there it was!
