I am 77 years old and a late bloomer to golf. I played my first game at 65 and fell in love with the game. The thought that I would ever get a hole in one never entered my mind. I was happy shooting in the nineties. The reason I started playing golf was I lost my son Christopher at the World Trade Center on 9/11. He was a NYC Firefighter. My family and his friends decided to start an annual golf outing and dinner to raise money for scholarships in his memory. We did it but after two years I figured I should learn the game so I would better know what we were doing. I immediately fell in love with the game and although we no longer have the outings we still have the scholarships and I have a new pleasure in life. When I play I know my son is beside me enjoying it as much as I am.
