Monday, April 19th. 70s and sunny. Tuesday was low 30s and snowy. My co-worker and I made a last minute tee-time for the day. We played at The Courses at Forest Park. Hole 17 for the round. Dogwood #8. Black Tee. 142 yards. PW. The green is extremely wide but not very deep. Came throw and hit my Pro-V1 clean. Bounced twice and then disappeared (my initial reaction was that I hit the ball long as the green was slanted off the back side.) Once it disappeared I celebrated briefly thinking I was about 95% sure it went in. Looked back at my co-worker and said "I Think I just got a hole in one!" Then I questioned out loud, " Did I hit that long?" My co-worker said "I THINK YOU JUST GOT A HOLE-IN-ONE!!" We celebrated for a moment. I was the first to hit my tee shot out of four other golfers. My heart was pumping through my chest and the anticipation was killing me. As soon as we got to the green, my co-worker started a video of my reaction. As we walked to the green, we did not see the ball off the back side. We got closer and closer and saw the ball at the bottom of the cup. What a rush! An experienceI will never forget!
