Also, I want to give a shout out to Brian Guevara, who made a hole-in-one today on number 7 at Glenmoor. It was an amazing shot! For those that want a reenactment, the hole was playing 157 yards from the blue tees, with what Brian may call, “hurricane force winds” from the north – northwest. Brian tees his ball up appropriately behind the tees (something he always does), and settles into position. He patiently shuffles his feet back and forth waiting to get the perfect balance on both his right and left feet. After he has his balance, he addresses his club to the ball, waggles his cally 8-iron, looks at his target which is a front pin location, waggles again, then waggles yet again, and as he feels the appropriate amount of wind, he hits a 60% eight iron (full-swing for Brian) with a tight draw that holds up against the wind. As the ball is in the air, two of his playing partners prematurely, but accurately tell the ball to “get in the hole.” The ball hits just short of the pin, and eventually trundles into the hole. The one playing partner that was not premature in calling the shot, high-fives Brian and nearly breaks his thumb doing so. There must have been quite the roar, as groups throughout the course come over to congratulate Brian.
