  1. Hi there,

My name is William Norton and I currently play off an 8 handicap. I am a student studying in Cape Town and I recently had my first hole in one at Bosch Hoek Golf Club! Midway through 2019 I started to really pick up golf and at that time I was playing with 714 AP2s but unfortunately my car and my clubs were stolen. I got extremely lucky and managed to get insurance to pay out and I am now playing with the T100s and I really couldn’t be happier! I’ve also got a SM6 in the bag which is probably my favourite club. On the 8th of May I was playing with my sister in the members competition at Bosch Hoek as I recently became a member there as well as at Westlake Golf Course in Cape Town. It was my first competition as a member and I was pretty nervous but after 2 doubles, a bogey and a par, we reached the 5th hole which is a beautiful par 3 over the water. My sister is a great golfer and she is currently playing off about a 2 and trying to make it professionally and I usually spend my days caddying for her but on the 8th of May I got lucky and was able to play with her and two elderly ladies. I played first being off the men’s tee box and the distance was 152m to the pin. I knew that the green was soft as it was right by the water so I thought 8 iron would be the perfect club! Little did I know how perfect it would be. I stood over my shot and hit the ball probably a groove too low so it came out with a low ball flight but it was going dead at the pin. I thought it was going past the pin at the back but the Lasy in our fourball said “it’s going in”. Two seconds after she said that the ball pitched, took two bounces and dropped in the hole! I took off with my arms out and couldn’t believe what I had seen! I tried attaching a video of the ball in the hole but I can’t seem to upload it so I’ve uploaded a picture of my sister and I on the tee box and a photo of the course conditions that day showing just how beautiful it was. It is one of the greatest moments of my life and I couldn’t be more grateful for my Titleist clubs that have brought my handicap down significantly and allow me to go out and love the game. I ended up shooting 6 over on the front 9 which was a bit of a nightmare but nothing could stop the smiling!

I hope you are doing well and I’m glad I could share this with you.

    Kind regards Will Norton
