  1. We had a rain delay, and my thought was to pack it in that day, but I was compelled to see it out. I pared the opening hole, then bogeyed the second. The third hole was a par 3 which I have been close to acing many times. Since one of my playing partners had the honors for a birdie on the second hole, he was up, so as usual he obtained the yardage to the flag with his range finder and commented it's 153 yards to the flag. He struck an 8 iron which was on line but fell short of the green slightly. Based on what I just witnessed I choose a 7 iron. My thoughts were to strike it as a normal swing, as to get it on the green. I commenced my pre shot routine, aligned the center of the club face with the ball, made my back swing and struck it as planned. The ball took flight, it was an awesome flight and it was struck pure. I watched it in the air heading in the exact direction of the flag. When the ball landed it bounced once and disappeared. The flag was situated in a slight depression of the green, so it made it difficult to determine if the fell in the hole. As we were walking up to the green my ball was not near the flag. My playing partner that was short with his tee shot said... Check the hole.....and to my surprise there rested my Tour Speed #1 with a stripe on it awaiting to be retrieved by me....It felt like I finally made what I have been seeking for 31 years. Of course we continued to play, but it was very difficult due to the excitement that was within. Never the less I stayed focus the best I could and still able to shot a respectable score of 78. Yes there was celebration which included a few drinks, laughs and stories of other first holes in one. I can hardly wait to get my second, just hope it doesn't take 31 years to arrive....

    Thanks

  2. Had my first hole in one on a rainy day in March of 2020, with a ProV-1
