  1. My company, AZO Inc of Memphis, TN, designed and built the raw material handling systems for making the golf ball cores in Ball Plant 3 back around 2001. I visited Richard Brown, Sr. Process Engineer, on Thursday, Nov 15, 2001 to discuss the project. As I was leaving, he gave me a dozen Pro V1's. The following Sunday was a nice, warm day for Nov., so I decided to catch 9-holes in the afternoon and try out the new balls. I went to the golf course alone. My clubs were in the trunk of the car, but discovered I had forgotten my golf shoes. I didn't have time to go home and get them, so I played in my penny loafers. Fortunately, I met up with 2-guys on the first tee and played with them. The 5th hole was a par 3. I hit it well and it looked like I was on the green so I was happy. As I reached to pickup my tee, my playing partners starting whooping and hollering because they saw it go in the hole - I didn't. Needless to say I was happy that I had witnesses and it was written up in the paper the next day.
